Sioux City
Sioux City serves as a hub for the entire Siouxland area, which encompasses Sergeant Bluff, IA, South Sioux City and Dakota City, NE, Dakota Dunes and North Sioux City, SD, and countless other towns. Established in 1854, Sioux City has seen a rich and exciting history. In total, the entire Siouxland area has a population of over 130,000 and 78,395 of them are in Sioux City, making it the most populous city in the area. It is the county seat of Woodbury County, home to a wealth of parks, museums, and points of historical interest.

Riverside Park is located on the banks of the Big Sioux River and is actually on the area where the first original white settler, Theophile Bruguier made his home. His original cabin still stands to this day.
Other than parks, many artistic points of interest call Sioux City home, including the Sioux City Art Center which houses important works by such famous artists as Grant Wood, Salvador Dali, James McNeil Whistler, and Thomas Hart Benton. The Art Center also prides itself on supporting artists from Iowa and the greater Midwest area. Also, the Sioux City Public Museum, located in a Northside neighborhood, pays tribute to historical Native Americans, pioneers, and natural history of the area.
